Kelly Rasmussen is a Waterloo, ON potter, whose enthusiasm for clay has transformed into creating simply designed, high fired functional stoneware. Influenced by her Danish heritage; Kelly’s pieces reflect a warmth and coziness that “feels like home”. She finds comfort in reproducing this feeling through her pots. “I like being a part of someone’s everyday life”. Kelly
first began potting in 2001 and has apprenticed with potter Barbara
Murphy of Breslau, Ontario. She is an active member of the Waterloo
Potters Guild as well as Hamilton and Region Guild. Kelly has also
participated in several Earthborn shows with the Waterloo Potters
Workshop, and is winner
of the Novice Award in 2004. |
