Jay Burn has mastered the crystalline glazing technique. With this type of glaze, the kiln temperature must be carefully controlled to allow crystals to develop.

As such, no two of his works will ever be the same. The crystals form across the surface in the same way that you see ice crystals form over the surface of a stream.
