Stÿll Artist Profile

Acme Anvil

Alan McIntosh first began making utensils in 1998. After some initial frustration working with stainless steel, the present style of Acme Anvil took shape. The utensils provide a unique challenge to blend form, function and fashion into an everyday object.

“It is inspiring to think that people will be using my utensils at their dinner table for years to come...... eventually they will be passed on to the next generation as heirlooms with memories attached”

Alan's serving pieces have been described as contemporary and funky, yet he feels the pieces also have a timeless appeal that can transcend fashion.
